First Priority Credit Union had the pleasure of hosting a groups of enthusiastic and curious students from Excel Academy for an engaging and educational field trip. This special visit was designed to give students a real-world look at how a credit union functions and the important role it plays in serving the financial needs of the community.
Split into different sessions, students toured the credit union and explored various departments, including Member Services, Lending, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Marketing and Business Development. They got a first-hand look at the day-to-day responsibilities of each team, learning how collaboration, innovation, and a strong member-first approach drive everything we do.
The students also participated in interactive Q&A sessions, observed live demonstrations as our members conducted their day-to-day activities during the tour, and engaged in discussions about financial literacy, career paths in banking, and the importance of trust and responsibility in financial institutions. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to see how different roles come together to create a smooth and supportive banking experience.
We were incredibly impressed by their questions, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. Experiences like these remind us of the importance of community connections and investing in the next generation of leaders.
Thank you, Excel Academy, for spending the day with us—we hope this visit inspired new ideas, sparked curiosity, and made the world of banking a little more exciting!
